Aging in Place Bathroom Remodel in Dayton, Ohio

Craftsman Style Accessible Bathroom on Main Floor

Our clients came to us with the goal of creating a main-floor full bathroom that would allow them to comfortably age in place in their Dayton home. Working within the existing layout, our team reimagined an underutilized space to seamlessly incorporate a beautiful and functional bathroom that feels like it has always belonged to the home.

Thoughtful Design for Aging in Place Bathroom

The new bathroom features a curbless walk-in shower with large-format porcelain wall tile, a subtle green accent band, and a handheld shower for versatility and ease of use. A brushed nickel grab bar provides added safety, while the frameless glass enclosure keeps the room feeling open and airy. The cultured marble vanity top offers a clean, low-maintenance surface that complements the warm, earthy wall color, chosen to bring a cozy and inviting tone to the space.

By adding a full bath to the main level, this remodel not only enhances daily convenience but also supports the homeowners’ long-term goals to age in place in their current home. The result is a thoughtfully crafted bathroom that balances function, safety, and style, a perfect example of Zengel Group’s commitment to livable remodeling and enduring design.

This bathroom remodel was completed as part of a kitchen remodel, allowing us to make improvements to the main floor of this home.
