This Oakwood family room renovation centered around the installation of custom bookcases that elevated both the functionality and style of the space. The homeowners wanted a design that would provide ample storage while showcasing artwork and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The new layout included four tall bookcase units flanking a central artwork opening, finished with crown molding to match the existing woodwork. Additional shelving units were added above and below the art opening, offering versatile display and storage options. All shelving was built with adjustable ¾-inch shelves, providing flexibility for books, décor, or family treasures.
To enhance both accessibility and charm, a rolling ladder was incorporated. This feature not only adds convenience for reaching upper shelves but also creates a timeless library-inspired look.
